Ray “Blueshound” Brown  /  On Air Personality

Ray moved to Cortez, CO in 2005 and motivated by a desire to contribute to his hometown, he discovered the Cortez community radio station KSJD. Ray began hosting a blues music radio show on KSJD and fell in love with sharing the blues with the local public. Ray moved to Asheville, NC in 2011 and continued to DJ a blues show on AshevilleFM. Now Ray is excited about sharing his passion for the blues, along with his knowledge of the music’s history and interesting tidbits about the artists that have performed this great music from the 1920’s to the present on TGRN Blues. Blues music is not just about being down and out, but about celebrating life as well. Blues has a rich history with a variety of styles and sounds. On “Soul of the Blues” you’ll hear all the savory richness this music has to offer. Each week “Blueshound” will take you on a musical journey through this passionate music with songs ranging from the earliest to the latest recordings, along with everything in between. You’ll hear interesting stories and biographical information about the artists that create this music. You’ll hear blues from every region of the U.S. and the international blues community as well.
“Blueshound” will also feature a favorite artist who is not considered blues with the Notcho’ Blues Artist of the week.
