Independent Contract Radio Sales Representative

Job Description:

As an Independent Contract Radio Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling advertising space on TGRN True Grit Roots Network Channels to businesses and advertisers. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who can effectively communicate the benefits of digital radio advertising to potential clients and secure advertising agreements. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule and work independently, while earning commission-based compensation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:

– Identify and research potential clients and advertisers interested in radio advertising.

– Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and other effective methods.

2. Client Consultation:

– Conduct consultations with potential clients to understand their advertising needs and objectives.

– Present the advantages of radio advertising and tailor solutions to meet the client’s goals.

3. Proposal and Contract Negotiation:

– Prepare and present compelling proposals outlining advertising packages and rates.

– Negotiate terms and conditions to secure advertising contracts.

4. Relationship Building:

– Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.

– Provide ongoing support and communication to address client needs and concerns.

5. Market Research:

– Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market changes.

– Use market insights to position radio advertising effectively.

6. Sales Reporting:

– Keep accurate records of sales activities, including calls, meetings, and contracts.

– Provide regular reports on sales performance and progress.

7. Achieving Sales Targets:

– Set and achieve sales targets and goals within specified timeframes.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience in sales, preferably in advertising or media sales.

– Excellent communication and presentation skills.

– Self-motivated and able to work independently.

– Strong negotiation and closing skills.

– Familiarity with the radio industry and advertising trends.

– Ability to build and maintain client relationships.

– Results-driven with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

– Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if necessary.
