Lady A, known as “The Hardest Workin Woman in Blues, Soul Funk & Gospel . Singing since age 5 in the children’s choir at her home church in Seattle, WA., she became a vocalist who knows how to tell a story through her lyrics, knows how to engage her audience, and guarantees you won’t leave a show the way you came. There is a message in the music. She hosted 6 years on the following radio programs: NWCZ online Radio ~ ”Lady A’s Black N Blues” on Saturday’s and Lady A’s “Gumbo & Gospel”. Radio Memphis, Memphis, TN ~ on Sunday mornings ~ “Lady A’s The Boss”, and 2 years on “Blues n Soul” on KMRE FM 102.3 Radio in Bellingham, Washington. Lady A serves as Chair on the board of directors of the Rhapsody Project, is a mentor and vocal coach for Blues in the Schools students; and leads Diversity Equity and Inclusion workshops for Seattle area High Schools. Named 2020 and 2021 Best Performer of the Year, 2021 Best Female Vocalist of the year by the Washington Blues Society. Lady A Live in New Orleans Album released in 2020, was nominated for a Blues Blast Music Award. Pacific NW Soul Café Nominated Best Entertainer Award, 2021. Nominated 2022 Washington Blues Society Best in Performer of the Year, Best Vocalist of the Year, and her CD project “Satisfyin” Nominated as Best Washington Blues Recording of the Year.
